Sound IS working. I was used to hearing the KDE startup tune (Mandrake 9.0) and since I did not hear it, assumed nothing sound related was working. I was wrong. Sorry for the xtra trouble. Sound in XMMS seems fine. Will check other sound related programs over the next few days. I have a few other isses to work out with JR.....getting my PalmPilot working and my digital camera. But, I will take a few days to see if I can stumble on a solution before posting for more help. Tried it. My camera is listed, Kodak DX4900, but get an error about port settings. I dont seem to have digikam(?), but 'Digital Camera - KDE' . Same program? After visiting the Window Maker web site, I saw that the only version of WM avaiable for downloading was v0.80.1 Can anyone tell me if this version of WM is a special version that only comes with Junior 2.2? Did the ALT development team make advancements with WM that are not available with other distros? If so, I'm an exclusive Window Maker user and really appreciate having the more advanced version on my Linux PC.
