В Сизифе была пара программ. Вопрос в том, что конкретно этому
студенту нужно будет. Когда я учился, компьютер нам нужен был очень
редко, по крайней мере до третьего курса.
А дальше зависит всё от специализации и задач. Каких-то общих программ
не много. Основная проблема на мой взгляд в том, что много химического
софта написано именно под Win, и научные журналы принимают статьи в
основном в doc. И этого трудно избежать. Потому как химик никогда не
работает один (если он не теоретик, но это уже скорее физик, чем
химик), а всё окружение вокруг работает под Win.
