Я реалист. ДВА СРАНЫХ ГОДА в ati'шной багзилле висели баги про
ингорирование прописанных в конфиге Modeline. Только через два
года апстрим признал что, да, так оно и есть. Я из-за этого год
иксы не обновлял вообще. Про постоянную поддержку позапрошлой
версии XOrg я уже даже не вспоминаю.

Делают поддержку новых карт и чипсетов. Драйвер r128, я уверен,
до сих пор rock stable. Если бы radeon заморозили в виде r200
для <=9200, он тоже бы таким остался.
