Это вина ati (вот только не знаю, драйвера или карты). Я от этого уже
больше года мучаюсь. 100% зависон гарантирован, если до переключения в
консоль был запущен mozilla. При возвращении на десктоп с mozilla сама
система не виснет, но монитор гаснет и переходит в беспробудный спящий
режим.
