Да, именно ждать исправления в apt. В пакете tint в BuildRequires:
есть ghostscript-utils и tetex-latex. Симптомы характерные.

Второй вариант -- что может иметь смысл вписать в BuildRequires,
чтоб иметь возможность прогнать buildreq в hasher chroot.

Можно попробовать собрать его с texlive, тогда tetex-latex
надо заменить на texlive-latex-base.
Если всё корректно соберётся, то это повод перейти на сборку
с texlive, т.к. tetex не поддерживается. Если не соберётся,
либо соберётся неправильно, то это бага и об этом надо
сообщить, т.к. по идее texlive-latex-base должен полностью
и корректно заменять по функциональности tetex-latex.
