Что значит "простое окно"?! Окно принадлежит какому-то приложению.
Вам мало Alt-F2 -> Run -> Ввести путь к "папке"?

Что есть "суффикс"? Часть слова?!
Все так и работает - зайдите в "Центр управления" -> "Привязки файлов".
