Боюсь, что ваши идеологические проблемы здесь мало кому
интересны. Насколько я понимаю, вы собрали непатченную версию,
которая не работает с tcb, так чему вы удивляетесь? Что хотели --
то и получили.

Берите src.rpm, смотрите патчи, ключи и так далее. Но у меня есть
стойкое ощущение, что glibc с tcb нельзя будет назвать "то что
лежит на ftp.gnu.org" и оно не будет принципиально отличаться от
того, что получится при пересборке src.rpm
