Сделайте с помощью "dd" образ своей флэшки на диск вместе со всеми
дефектами.
Что-то вроде:
dd if=/dev/sdb of=./myflash
Если эксперимент закончится неудачно - вернете назад:
dd of=/dev/sdb if=./myflash
