Можно, но, возможно, правильнее сделать timer unit в качестве
альтернативы cron

Согласен с этим мнением. timer unit было бы удобнее, если уж на systemd.

Согласен. Но я не вижу желающих это сделать правильно. Я к ним не отношусь, и без этого дел много.
