Дату из пакета можно убрать. Но тут вопрос принципиальный: os-release,
на сколько я понял, требуется для systemd. И в этом файле должна быть
информация о версии/релизе ОС. А что такое версия для Сизифа, как не
дата последнего dist-upgrade?
Возможно, что более правильным было бы, чтоб apt-get правил этот файл.
Но и через branding было бы удобно.
