Накатил вчера xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.2.0-alt2, запустил на
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile
915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller (rev 03)
00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML
Express Graphics Controller (rev 03)
и больше 800x600 не могу получить. -alt1 работал нормально на 1366x768.
Где грабли? Пробовал покрутить 915resolution - не дало эффекта. XRandr
показывает только 800x600, 640x480 и т.п.

Еще немного повертел и обнаружил, что разрешение 1366x768 восстановилось, если
в BIOS'е ноута включить растяжение картинки. Раньше это не имело какого-либо
эффекта. Соответственно, вопрос, так и должно быть?
