Hello, All!
Пытаюсь запустить сервер jabber, пока локально. Установлены
libjabber-1.3-ipl1mdk, jabber-1.4.1-alt2
При старте
# jabberd -D
Configuration parsing using jabber.xml failed
или
# service jabber start
Starting Jabber: [FAILED]
Настройки не менял, из http://docs.jabber.org понял так, что это
для localhost и не нужно.
В каталоге /var/lib/jabber сделал каталог localhost, при
установке пакета он не создался. Может, он и не нужен, конечно.
Скажите, pls, у кого-нибудь есть удачный опыт запуска?
PS А jabber планируется запихать в chroot-окружение?

Кстати, в их FAQ
http://docs.jabber.org/general/html/faq.html#AEN301
написано, что это может быть вызвано неправильным указанием файла
конфигурации.
Так вот, запуск
#jabberd -c /etc/jabber/jabber.xml
прошел успешно и jabber в процессах виден.
Повторюсь, все настройки и конфиги без изменений.
Система - Spring2001/Sisyphus (17-10-2001)
