В ядрах 2.4.22-std-up-alt8, так же в alt7 имеет место краш при poweroff
(краш-дамп на экран в момент команды на выключение питания)
В 2.4.20-alt5-up, 2.4.21rel-std-up-alt6, 2.4.21rel-std-up-alt7 проблемы
не было.
dmesg вклеиваю. acpi=off не влияет ни на что.

Тогда попробуйте вписать в /etc/modules.conf одну из следующих строк
(возможно, с какой-то из них заработает):
options apm allow_ints=0
options apm realmode_power_off=0
options apm allow_ints=0 realmode_power_off=0
Если не поможет - придётся копать дальше...

Не помогло.
poweroff, как и попытка старта демона APM приводит к одному и тому же
результату независимо от наличия/отсутствия сих заклинаний.
Разница между 2.4.21rel-std-up-alt7 и нынешним в том, что в старом хоть
poweroff мог таки гасить компьютер.
