Господа FreeBSD'шники !!! можно ли уже установленную фрю4.3 обновить
до 6.0(по локалке например)? если да, то как?

Source upgrades to FreeBSD 6.0-RELEASE are only supported from FreeBSD
5.3-RELEASE or later. Users of older systems wanting to upgrade 6.0-RELEASE
will need to update to FreeBSD 5.3 or newer first, then to FreeBSD
6.0-RELEASE.
Но это теоретически и в общем случае, а практически и в случае 4.3 проще
поставить 6.0 с нуля.

Я думаю, можно попробовать 4.3 -> 4.11 -> 5.x -> 6.x (примерно таким
макаром недавно обновлялись машины сети *.freebsd.org). Однако проще
переставить, имхо.
