причина появления /usr/share/icons/default/index.theme всего одна - без этого
в DM курсор из libXcursor. меня это всегда раздражало. можно положить этот
файл в /etc/X11, а в /usr/share/icons/default сделать симлинк и менять ее
сколько влезет.
