Добрый день.
Вопрос снят в /etc/udev/rules.d на машине со старой glibc был прописан
адрес предыдущей и уже несуществующей сетевой платы. И это, почему-то, влекло
вызов ф-ии ядра ksrc_dir/net/dev.c/ device_rename(...).
