Wondering....when installing git files, I can cd into the directory but
not sure of the command to make the file after that. In Arch I would use
makepkg -si but not sure what command to use here.

It's not about "installing git files" but rather about building
packages from git repositories I guess.
Depends but I've seen github2spec in ALT repos (spec's not the
package yet, just the specification to build one with rpmbuild
from rpm-build package).
PS: you did right by posting a completely separate question
in a completely separate thread. :-)
