[Comm-en] Why has ALT Linux been so quiet?

Is it just me, or has the ALT support team been overly quiet?  I've noticed 
that we're in the middle of June and no security updates have been added to 
the site.  Is it just because there has been security issues in over a month?  
Or is there another reason why the ALT team hasn't been updating the security 
archives?

Technical support for ALT still exists, doesn't it?

Not "just you".

Umm... you mean security-announce@altlinux.ru and/or updates
section on FTP?

The site tracks development branch, and updates should be picked
up by APT just out-of-box.

Concerning Junior -- seems like none.

Well to some extent there is "openbsd-effect" of "this was fixed
half a year ago during audit" -- say man-1.5k package contains 10
alt-patches and doesn't use root privileges for years.

But I'd myself like to clarify the whole situation.  So Cc:.

Hello,
Need some help getting sound working. 
Not sure what information to post. Will start with this.  

[root@localhost root]#  cat /etc/modules.conf
alias usb-interface usb-uhci
probeall scsi_hostadapter ide-scsi
pre-install pcmcia_core CARDMGR_OPTS=-f /etc/rc.d/init.d/pcmcia start
alias sound-slot-0 snd-intel8x0
above snd-pcm-oss snd-mixer-oss
above snd-intel8x0 snd-pcm-oss
alias eth0 eepro100
options ide-scsi units=/dev/hdd
alias usb-interface1 ehci-hcd

Any help is appreciated.

Ugh.  That's a known problem with Junior 2.2 thanks to obscure
brokenness in upstream ALSA :(

Michael,
Thanks, its been difficult getting any help for Jr. As a new user of linux 
some things seem very complicated to try and figure out.  
Did as you suggested, restarted computer, but still no sound.
