hi people 
i recently installed rh8.0 on piv based system having intel 845 based motherboard i cant get the sound server working 
i was adviced by the documentation to change the kernel parameters to add sound support with 845 i did changed them and recompiled it with
make symlink depend
but it is still not working
please help

ummm.... seems like not very much people here are using rh8.

OTOH you could try rh9 to see if that kernel got fixed in the
mean time.  i845's sound should work from linux-2.4.19 and up.
