Good day!

The update of ALT products continues. The release of Simply Linux and 
ALT Server Virtualization distributions on Platform 10 (p10 - Aronia 
branch) took place.

Simply Linux - easy to use, lightweight, user-friendly operating system. 
This version of the distribution kit is prepared for x86_64, AArch64 
(including support for "Baikal-M"), AArch64 for RPi4, i586, e2k v3 / v4 
/ v5 (from 4C to 8CB) and riscv64 (for the first time). The release of 
the distribution kit for Elbrus is available upon written request from 
the owners of the equipment.

We note the following changes in Simply Linux (on non-x86 / arm software 
versions may differ):
- System environment based on Linux kernel 5.10.85-std-def-kernel-alt1, 
Glibc 2.32, GCC10 compiler set, systemd 249.7. Graphical kernel update 
tools are provided by the alterator-update-kernel 1.4 utility.
- Xorg 1.20.13.
- Wine 6.14 for i586 and x86_64.
- Graphical shell Xfce 4.16 (interface change due to the transition to 
GTK + 3 (3.22), improved functionality of display settings and new 
design). MATE 1.24 is also present.
- Thunar file manager 4.16.
- Program for managing network settings NetworkManager 1.32.
- System control center Alterator 5.4.
- Chromium browser 96.0. In riscv64 - Epiphany 41.3 and in e2k - Mozilla 
Firefox ESR 52.9.
- Thunderbird 91.3 mail client - work with attachments improved, there 
are security updates too. In riscv64, the Claws Mail 3.18.
- Pidgin 2.14.3 instant messaging client (available in all architectures 
except riscv64).
- Office productivity software suite LibreOffice 7.1.8.
- Raster graphics editor GIMP 2.10 with updated translation into Russian.
- Vector graphics editor Inkscape 1.1 (there is in all architectures 
except riscv64). Export to JPG, TIFF added, PNG and WebP formats 
optimized, extension manager appeared.
- Audacious 4.1 audio player with choice of Qt interface (hotkeys can be 
configured) or GTK.
- Video player VLC 3.0.16. In e2k and for riscv64 - Celluloid 0.21.
- Remote Desktop Client Remmina 1.4.

The distribution kit ALT Server Virtualization is designed for use on 
servers and implementation of virtualization functions in corporate 
infrastructure. The image is available for all supported architectures: 
x86_64, AArch64, ppc64le.

Changes:
- System environment based on Linux kernel 5.10.85-std-def-kernel-alt1, 
Glibc 2.32, OpenSSL1.1.1, as well as support for new hardware.
- In p10, a single unified cgroup hierarchy (cgroup v2) is enabled by 
default. The cgroups core mechanism is widely used by such important and 
popular tools as Docker, Kubernetes, LXC, and CoreOS.
- The p10 repository includes pve-backup to create a server that allows 
you to organize the management of backups of virtual machines in PVE.
- Docker 20.10.11, Podman 3.4.3, LXC 4.0.10, LXD 4.17.

- Open vSwitch 2.16.1.
- New versions of Ceph file systems 15.2.15 (octopus), GlusterFS 8.4.
- The transition to the use of cri-o has been made in the container 
management system Kubernetes 1.22.4.
