Российские разработчики ПО для ОС Linux создали альянс, целью
которого является совместное участие в конкурсах на поставки свободного
ПО в школы. Общее количество специалистов по СПО, вошедших в альянс,
превысило число таковых у Mandriva и производителя Ubuntu Canonical
вместе взятых. В случае успешной реализации пилотного проекта СПО
появится в каждой российской школе наряду с Microsoft и другим
проприетарным ПО.
...В компании «Альт Линукс» подтвердили участие в альянсе. «Объединение
фирм, бизнес которых основан на свободном программном обеспечении, для
участия в большом проекте, — знаменательное и давно ожидаемое событие,
— рассказал CNews Алексей Новодворский, замгендиректора «Альт Линукс».
