На работе стоить HP1100, работает через cups, ничего дополнительного не
ставилось, cups из сизифа, принтер настраивался через web конфигурялку.
А так-же в компьютерном клубе использую HP1200 без проблем печатает,
подключен по USB в виду чего пришлось пропатчить кернел. Патч заключался в
изменении чиселка 3 на 2, сей принтер имеет возможность подключения сканера и
поэтому умеет работать по нейкому двунаправленному протоколу (непомню
названия), который ядром определяется но для этого принтера не
поддерживается. Настройки для cups так-же делались через web конфигурялово.
