Драйвер не мог испортиться так как после обновления он не изменился и
остался на своем старом месте (/etc/cups/ppd). Проблемы или в
приложениях или новом CUPS или новом gimp-print. Смотря какая увас
конфигурация была(использовалась) и стала.
