меняется он при обновлении.
dist-upgrade fontconfig стопудово меняет.
уже трижды восстанавливал fontconfig из master 2.2 (иначе gnome-panel начинает размножаться и не гном не стартует)
сейчас кручу новый gnome-panel 2.3.2, но он по цепочке весь гном на обновление тянет...
