Hello!
В исходниках mc из Сизифа обнаружились файлы vfs/samba/*
Это что? Надежда на хождение по smb-шарам в mc? Или это
уже работает, но я не понял, как? grep по smb и samba
в /usr/share/doc/mc-4.5.55/* ничего не дал, нет упоминаний
и в man mc.

почитайте ./configure --help
имхо, поддержка довольно кривая... не советую...
