привет !
Не работает grub-install
sh-2.05# grub-install /dev/hda
/usr/share/grub/i386-alt/stage1: Not found.
проверено на 2-х хостах

Да, приходится... Но вот была недавно проблема - устанавливал систему на
машину в следующей конфигурации:
/dev/hda -> Windows
/dev/hdb -> Linux
/dev/hdb1 -> /boot
Соответственно, когда слетел GRUB (Windows пришлось ставить во вторую
очередь) пришлось срочно изучать систему работы с ним. Оно, конечно, к
лучшему ;) Но все-таки...
