После обновления chkconfig и ntsysv до последних версий:
[root@localhost init.d]# ./syslogd restart
Shutting down system logger: [
OK ]
Starting system logger:
[FAILED]
Хотя на самом деле syslogd перезапускается.
syslogd тоже новый, но это проявляется именно после обновления
двух указанных, специально проследил на второй машине.

Да, эту проблему с новым syslogd уже обнаружили. Работа над исправлениями
идет. К сожалению, сегодня в офисе Альтлинукс (где находится maintainer этого пакета)
нет доступа к Интернет для того, чтобы выложить обновления.
