Есть предложение: оформить конфиги для jabber-jud, conference и
т.д. в виде файлов для
<jabberd:include>[filename]</jabberd:include>
в главном конфиге.
Мелочь, а приятно :)

Обязательно. Кстати, в http://bugs.altlinux.ru про ошибку в
стартовом скрипте написал, все равно начисто установленный не
запускается, только после телодвижений:
#jabberd -D
удаление jabber.pid, error.log (что-то мог пропустить)
#service jabber start
<skipped>
