После некоторого перерыва, каталог обновлений для дистрибутива ALT Linux
Spring 2001 снова приобрел актуальный вид и содержание.
О том, как правильно производить обновление Spring 2001 из Updates,
написано в небольшой статье по адресу

В ней на конкретном примере описана последовательность действий по
обновлению дистрибутива с помощью APT. Это особенно актуально для тех, кто
никогда не пользовался APT'ом; впрочем, и опытные пользователи Sisyphus'а
могут найти для себя полезную информацию.

Не разжуете для непонятливых, куда и что нужно прописать, (вроде [alt]
что-то там) чтобы можно было обновиться с зеркала на rtmfind.net? А то
ваш ftp.altlinux.ru permanently busy.

Подождите с rpmfind.net до начала следующей недели. Он еще вытягивает
основное дерево.

Нет. В идеале адрес будет выглядеть так:
ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/ALTLinux/updates Spring2001/i586 Spring
Но пока этого нет, поскольку основное дерево еще не вытянулось (сейчас
синхронизируются пакеты Castle-beta3).
