Обнаружилось, что abiword из Sisyphus
[vyt@vyt vyt]$ rpm -qa|grep abisuite
abisuite-koi8-0.7.14-alt1
abisuite-cp1251-0.7.14-alt1
abisuite-0.7.14-alt1
стабильно падает на сохранении в формате html такого текста:

Шрифт везде times new roman, 1-я строка 12-м, вторая - 14-м
кеглем, в конце второй "\n" нет.
Ставил Spring в окружении koi8-r. Кстати, как это (окружение
koi8-r :)) правильно называется?
Если кто заинтересуется, а воспроизвести не получится, попробуйте
сохранять в новом файле.
Да, при сохранении я выбирал формат html и писал имя файла
file.html
