Большое спасибо, а то я уж обыскался - сбока kdebase3 невозможна без
заголовочных файлов самбы.

Заголовочный файл? В исходниках Самбы. Пока что не устанавливается,
скопируйте его из исходников. Не устанавливается вот по какой причине:
сейчас идет подготовка к интеграции Самбы 3.0 и совместное существование
этих двух версий еще не до конца размечено.
