А почему тогда не сделать дословный перевод RAW — сырой снимок? Почему тогда
не приводить расшифровку и других аббревиатур, например TIFF, PNG, JPEG... Три
года назад этот вопрос был решён в пользу «цифрового негатива», как общего
названия всех подобных форматов, и в пользу «”проявки” цифрового негатива» для
преобразования из RAW в PNG, JPEG и т.п. Например аналогичным образом
переводятся навзания других форматов: PNG, TIFF — оставляется как имя
собственное, без расшифровки и перевода, а вот lossy/losless — сжатие с
потерями/без потерь.
