Что это может быть? Что за ошибка?

[hlodin@hlodin ~]$ hsh --no-cache ~/RPM/hasher libprelude-0.8.8-alt3.src.rpm

Processing srclists...  hasher done
Creating component releases... done
Updating global release file... done
Appending MD5Sum... hasher done

делали?

Кроме того у меня он хочет собирать только в директории ~/hasher :(

А home у меня традиционно nodev,nosuid,noatime
пришлось перемонтировать 

Можно его заставить работать в любой директории?
Да и документации побольше бы к нему.

 После включения себя в группу hashman он мне начал выдавать более
 осмысленную информацию. Не хватает пакета setup.

Можно /etc/hasher-priv/system параметр prefix.
