Всем привет!
Очень хотелось бы в готовящемся стабильном выпуске Сизифа видеть
работоспособный и современный ТеХ.
К сожалению, пакет tetex в Сизифе уже давно находится фактически
в неподдерживаемом состоянии: полтора года назад вышла версия
3.0, три месяца назад Esser объявил о прекращении поддержки
tetex'а, а у нас всё 2.0.
Короче говоря, предлагаю всем заинтересованным в судьбе ТеХа в
Сизифе отозваться, и вместе подумать, кто что может сделать
по улучшению ситуации. И объединить усилия.
У нас до 1 октября период sync, когда как раз следует заниматься
сборкой новых пакетов и новых версий. Давайте не упускать этот
период.
Начну с себя: могу помочь тестированием всяческих аспектов работы
пакетов TeX, потому что постоянно им пользуюсь. Развешиванием багов
и т. п. Могу помочь сборкой нужных пакетов для LaTeX, которые не
входят в tetex*. Собрать самому tetex-3.0, боюсь, мне не хватит
квалификации, тут нужна помощь.
Стоит также подумать о возможности собрать в Сизиф также пакет
TeXLive.
