Из Master-2.4, вестимо.
Я уже напарывался у себя на такую багу.
Не делайте, если возможно,
Obsolete: pkgname
, а делайте
Obsolete: pkgname < %someversion-%somerelease
, иначе обратно не вернешь.

Конкретно эта ситуауия не показатель, но если образно представить,
что Xorg-7 собрали в updates для M24, то воспроизведется.
У меня такое было с pinentry после выхода какого-то Compact, что
Compact-ская pinentry обсолетила сизифную pinentry-qt

меня щас больше интересует как разруливать обровление с М2.4
