Меня давно волнует вопрос, как обстоит дело с сабжем? Думаю, не вызывает
возражений тот факт, что для серьёзной работы с multimedia необходимо
ядро с оптимизацией по части задержек. Однажды я попытался приложить к
ядру 2.4.20-alt5 вытянутый из инета соответствующий патч. Процентов 70
приложилось нормально, остальное отвалилось. После того, как я с помощью
"кувалды и такой-то матери" присобачил оставшиеся куски ядро даже
скомплилось (!), но при загрузке довольно быстро повисло с сообщенем об
ошибке (где-то после фразы "Scheduilng in interrupts"). Так как я не
особо знаток ядрёных кишок, то решил обратиться сюда -- может быть,
кто-то над этим уже работает.
Маленькое наблюдение: когда я приделывал неприложтвшиеся куски патча, то
обнаружил, что в альтовом ядре то, что касается планировщика задач
изменено по сравнению с оригинальным, и местами даже эти изменения
дублируют таковые в lowlattency патче. Однако, судя по тому, что бОльшая
часть патча всё же приложилась, я решил, что эти усовершенствования (в
альтовом ядре) всё же не дотягивают до полноценного lowlattency.
