А может все-таки сделать что-то типа репозитария для спеков? ИМХО время от
времени просят.

Репозитарий отчасти уже есть, но доступ только для разработчиков ядра,
AFAIK.

И, кстати, kernel-source-2.4.22 (и вообще ни одного kernel-source-*)
там нет - там лежат только kernel-{fix,feat,image,modules}-*. Пакеты
с исходниками пока что обрабатываются старым методом (в частности,
из-за того, что хранение бинарных файлов в CVS довольно неэффективно).
Возможен вариант хранения в CVS только spec-файла (кстати, по такому
принципу работает sandman), но пока это не реализовано.
