Я делал аналогичное, только не с fsarchiver а банальным cpio + вручную
создаваемый профиль разбивки диска.
На флешку можно было положить любое количество этих cpio, при загрузке
оставалось лишь выбрать образ, который разворачивать.
Изначально оно делалось как замена installer, но оказалось удобным и как
backup.
Если оно для кого-то кроме меня ценно -- можно восстановить
работоспособность того старого проекта.
