Здраствуйте,
Проблема в следующем:
В один прекрасный день в консоле перестала выполняться su -
Authentication failure
Пароль точно не менялся. Загрузился с ДВД в
safe mode.
дальше:
chroot ...
passwd ...
перезагрузился. Пробую зайти root'ом не получается. Login incorrect.
Что дальше делать? В какую сторону смотреть?

Решил проблему. Стоит рейд. В safe mode в /mnt монтируется /dev/hdg2 а
рабочая система на /dev/hde2. Пароль восстановил. Как теперь
посмотреть как работает рейд?
