скачал десктоп через 10 дней после появления оного на фтп альтов.
пора,видимо,проапдейтится...
подскажите,какие рпм-ки из бранча надо качать в первую очередь(крупные
пофиксенные баги,безопасность и т.д.)

удобнее обновляться через apt-get.
пропишите/включите соответствующие репозитории
и apt-get update/apt-get dist-upgrade в помощь.
по существу вопроса -- обновите ядро и модули к нему необходимые.
в openoffice вроде закрывалась какая то секурити фикс.
это то что из больших
