Подскажите как установить принтер Lexmark Z45se в ALTLinux 2.3
compact. Я не нашёл в дистрибутиве драйверов под этот принтер.

1. Не нужно покупать вин-*(принетра, модемы, рейд-контролеры)
2. Если уж купили - качайте бинарные драйвера с сайта производителя
3. Когда получите гору проблем с установкой этих драйверов, начните с google:/

Уй... к этой гадости, кажется, раздавали некий LPRng странного
вида или что-то к нему.
Забил, вернул и взял Canon к ноуту.

Нет, там поддержка и lpd и cups, но по окончании инсталяции как-то
по-идионтски смешивается конфигурация для cups и lpd... Есть два
варианта :
1. Собрать себе lpd - тогда штатный инсталлер все поставит и настроит.
Все будет рабоать из коробки без глюков.
2. На основе какой-либо из моделей, которые поддерживаются в foomatic
сделать ppd и завершить этап установки "вручную"...
PS: Есть еще вариат пинать авторов принтера и драйверов до посинения,
но при этом желательно иметь "кошерный" дистрибутив, т.е. Fedora Core
или SuSe...
