Бинарники эльфовые - далеко не самый главный пожиратель дисков. Если
приходится страдать и плакать за место на диске, то выход есть, и весьма
один из немногих - ядрышко 2.2.x, и e2comp-патчик. У меня на ноутбуке с
галимым гиговым диском оно как раз и используется.
