А если:
1. загрузиться с дискеты или в single mode и
2. смонтировав hda5 куда нибудь в /mnt
3. перелить даннные в каталог /home рут раздела(/dev/hda2).
4. Убрать запись о /dev/hda5 из /etc/fstab
5. Перезагрузиться и убить /dev/hda5 и /dev/hda4
6. Создать fat раздел.
Все. Это при условии, что в /dev/hda2 достаточно места.
