Не подскажите, как в linux настраивать\управлять COM-ами. Принесли 
компьютер с Mandriv'ой 2009 в которой установлена ДЭНСИ-касса. Так вот: 
система показывает, что в системе 4 COM-порта, а на деле один порт 
встроен в материнскую плату и стоит плата PCI c 2 COM и 1 LPT. Плату 
вытаскиваю, но в системе их всё-равно 4 остаётся. Нужно подключить 
принтер этикеток, а он ни по одному порту не отвечает. Принтер, вроде 
как, поддерживается.

Походу на эту плату нужен специально обученный модуль ядра.
Посмотрите lspci -k, как она видна, и загружен ли какой-нибудь модуль.

Если модуль есть, смотрите лог загрузки dmesg - порты с неё могут быть 
названы как-то экзотически.

Вложил выводы команд.
Где встроенный COM-порт я понять не могу, но внешняя плата с COMами - 
NetMos Technology PCI 9835 Multi-I/O Controller (rev 01). В GUI-утилите 
тоже показывает в графе неизвестных устройств (как и какую-то 
макинтош-мышь). Какой модуль надо и где его взять?

Вот нашёлся встроенный порт (два раза один и тот же - сначала по
стандартному адресу, потом через ACPI PNP; в принципе это нормальная
ситуация).  Также видно, что драйвер в этом ядре собран с поддержкой
максимум 4 последовательных портов (чего в этой конфигурации пока
достаточно).

Спасибо. Всё заработало на встроенном в мать порте. Так и не понял 
почему. Скорее всего скорость не та была.
