Здравствуйте!
Я исправил адреса DNS-серверов в /etc/net/ifaces/eth0/resolv.conf и сделал
network restart, но содержание /etc/resolv.conf не изменилось.
Перезапускать компьютер не хочется. Как обновить /etc/resolv.conf?

Я пока его тоже обновил руками. Попытался было запустить resolvconf, так он
откуда-то опять старый вытащил...

недавно в курилке обсуждали. лично мне пришлось занести всё в
/etc/resolv.conf руками и запретить на будущее его изменение, иначе
злобный openresolv его обнуляет.

я про то и говорю. можно запретить его изменение:
chattr +i /etc/resolv.conf
