В /var/log/messages часто встречаются сообщения вида:
Dec 11 16:02:54 thishost nmbd[6512]: process_name_refresh_request:
unicast name registration request received for name HOST<00> from IP
192.168.5.102 on subnet UNICAST_SUBNET.

nmbd/nmbd_incomingrequests.c:172(process_name_refresh_request)
Dec 11 16:02:54 thishost nmbd[6512]: Error - should be sent to WINS server
И ещё такие проскакивают:
Dec 11 16:07:56 thishost smbd[6936]: [2011/12/11 16:07:56.796599, 0]
smbd/server.c:281(remove_child_pid)
Dec 11 16:07:56 thishost smbd[6936]: Could not find child 6976 -- ignoring
Настройки самбы "искаропки" не трогал, только изменил имя рабочей группы.
