изучаю postfix, хочу сделать ящик vgorshkov, можно ли его сделать не
делая реального пользоваетля в системе /etc/passwd ?
так получиться?:
/etc/postfix/main.cf:
virtual_alias_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/virtual
/etc/postfix/virtual
vgorshkov

конечно. Не надо его в /etc/password заводить.

Нет. Это вы алиасы объясвили - это не пользователи
Пользователи это local_recipient_map

Должно быть:
V.Gorshkov vgorshkov
Это же алиас.
А для local_recipient_map будет файлик типа такого:
vghorshkov@mymail.ru none
и обязательно man postmap
