Здравствуйте, все :)
Столкнулся с такой проблемой:
/boot лежит на /dev/hdb8
когда я после изменения /etc/lilo.conf от рута говорю: "lilo", lilo
ругается, говорит, что не может найти имэйдж, как победить?
читал маны, даже что-то пробовал, но нничего не получилось :(

Похоже, я превращаюсь в штатного попугая. :((
Мы все должны догадаться сами о содержимом Вашего lilo.conf и какие
изменения Вы в нём делаете?
А так же какой именно образ он не находит? Может Наташи Ростовой?

Попробуйте так:
boot=/dev/hda8
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
image=/boot/vmlinuz
label=linux
root=/dev/где_у_Вас_root
initrd=/boot/initrd.img
