Скачал гимп последний. Не могу установить. Вот что пишет на ./configure

Вы, безусловно, заняты очень интересным делом. Но вот Анатолий
Якушин собрал для нас и положил в Сизиф ещё 29 апреля
~/files/i586/RPMS/gimp2-1.3.14-alt1.i586.rpm
Этой версией я очень доволен. Причём, я думаю, что Анатолий её
собрал лучше, чем это бы сделал я. Хотя на моей машине есть всё,
чего Вам не хватает, в том числе, pkgconfig-0.15.0-alt1 и
glib-1.2.10-alt6.

Если для сборки - то glib-devel
Для установки и работы ПО -devel не нужен

Это не "последний", а старый снапшот из _нестабильной_ ветки.
Собирайте/ставьте сизифовый gimp2:
