Всем добрый день.
Есть ли возможность с помощью сабжа перевести avi-файл в формате
MPEG4 в MPEG2? Интересует конкретный вывод команды (в случае
положительного ответа на вопрос ес-но), а то что-то маны не
помогли :-(. Цель всего этого шаманства: посмотреть новые фильмы
на моем старом пне-166ММХ.

если в рамках цели то можно побаловаться
mencoder -ovc help
тут можно найти и МП2;)
и если все же выбрать lavc
то можно компрессию поставить маленькую (распаковывать будет быстро),
например
cat in.avi | mencoder -o out.avi - -oac mp3lame -lameopts cbr:preset=64
-ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vbitrate=2000
или поиграться кодеками в lavcopts
маны не помогли - странно
там очень грамотные маны имхо
дайте поиск по ман менкодер слова МП2 и все найдете ;)
